Kate Wood came to Gabriola Island eleven years ago to embark on a two year silversmithing course at Lindsay Godfrey's Mudge Island Studio. Since about 2002 she has been making silver jewellery on Gabriola and selling through stores, craft fairs, and gift shows. Prior to living on Gabriola she was an art student at Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver. Her other art interests include drawing, painting, scupture, and printmaking.
